Check out our new monofilament recycling bins.
We are providing these around the county as a service to help keep our waterways tangle-free.
Monofilament is another word for fishing line which is a hazard to marine life and boat propellers if left in the water.
If you find fishing line in the water or laying loose where it is a hazard, please dispose of it properly for safety. Even when put in the trash monofilament can end up harming wildlife at landfills. When possible it is best to recycle used fishing line.
